    13" H X 18" W In attractive gilt frame. Signed lower left. The Artist began as an engraver but switched to landscapes & marine watercolours. He exhibited at OWCS,NWCS, & RA. The reverse shows tape from Firth Bros. Tools Ltd., Sheffield (Did it hang in the Boardroom?) and news paper dating fron the early part of the !st World War. No fading or damage but slight foxing in sky area upon close inspection.
    A fine June day in rural Ebgland - a countrywoman approaches along a track framed by six majestic trees,beneath which cattle & sheep rest or graze. A hayfield to the right & blue hills beyond. Agate leading to an avenue & woodland to the left. Blue sky & white cloud above.
