A late 19th century ship portrait of the iron made barque "Port Jackson". The painting is attributed to the Italian ship portraitist Luigi P Renault. Renault worked mostly in Livorno (Leghorn) and Trieste in Italy and was the official marine portraitist to King Victor Emanuel. The full history of "Port Jackson" has been attached to the back of the painting by someone previously. The painting, we believe, is oil on card and is in good but unrestored condition and held in a slim giltwood frame. (Circa 1890) Height 42cm (16.5 inches) Width 63.5cm (25 inches) Depth 1.6cm (0.6 inches) Victorian 'Port Jackson' Ship Painting
