    Antique Victorian Full Hunter Fusee Pocket Watch

    Superb Victorian Full Hunter Fusee Pocket Watch, timepiece measures, 45mm across x 10mm depth, height inclusive of stem & bow 65 mm, weight of some 90 grams. Full Set English Hallmarks, dates timepiece to London 1863,Case Makers Mark of A.T for, Albert Thickbroom . Silver Full Hunter Case is in a exceptional cosmetic condition for age, with crisp clean engine turn design throughout, cartouche to front has letter fancy script, " mm " inscribed, all hinges working like new, front opening via push down on top of crown, The Timepiece sees lovely clean enamel dial, protected by hinged glazed bezel, painted roman numerals, fancy gold hands, dial signed " Jno Jones, The Strand London ", dial also inscribed with movement number of 15475, These numbers are also engraved on Silver Hunter Case, as well as on Fusee Movement, so without a doubt Case Dial,& Movement all started out together, unusual to find watch triple serial numbered in this way, The Fusee Movement also signed Jno Jones 338 Strand, "

     
    John Jones (1815-1909), working from the Strand, London, a most influential London watchmaker who played an important part in the founding of the British Horological Institute in 1858.
     
    The Movement, spotlessly clean sees chain fusee movement, running beautifully, responding instantly to winding with what I believe to be original key, in all a lovely timepiece by this noted watchmaker,
