A 19th century Italian Sorrento olive wood book slide. The book slide has a large oval marquetry inlaid panel in the centre with fret work carving to either side. The book slide has two folding bookend supports that have fret work carving and a circular marquetry inlaid panel. The book end supports slide out to extend the book storage capacity.
