    Antique SUBMARINE BROOCH

A 9ct submarine brooch (see N453A for a rare 15ct example) which were produced in the first world war as sweetheart brooches for the wives and girl-friends of submariners. I have had similar examples in the past - all made from the same pattern - but they are now uncommon. This example is stampedwith the retailer PAGE PLYMOUTH 9ct and with the design number 643143 as is the 15ct example. Length approximately 2 inches: 5 cms.
