    Antique RODIN : 'Léternel Printemps' (Eternal Spring) REDUCTION BY 'F.Barbedienne Foundeur'

    This is an AUGUST RODIN AUTHORIZED reduction of a sculpture of his sculpture "Léternel Printemps" (Eternal Spring) cast in bronze .
    Rodin signed a contract with a foundry in France in the 1880´s to cast it in four different reduction sizes . This one is the third one of 40 cm height (16") x 50 cm width (20") .
    The foundry was "F.Barbedienne Foundeur" (it is clearly marked in the back by the "Rodin"signature .
    Only 103 examples were made in the 4 diferent sizes , this is the third size .
