pair of mahogany candle sticks
Circa 1900, pair of George III style mahogany candle sticks. There is a brass candle holder with a slight pattern to the fore-edge, and a tapering barley sugar column, with 2 further ring sections. It stands on a circular, raised bezel with a concave section and ring turn sections outside that. At the underside there is felt and inside the felt there is either lead or metal to give the candlesticks stability.
