Overview:
This is a very fine quality German porcelain hand painted lidded vintage tea caddy made by Meissen and dating from the 20th century. The small square traditional shaped tea caddy has a curved top with a small raised funnel opening with a fitted domed lid with small raised finial. The body of the caddy has been very finely painted with floral designs in green on a white ground with spot gilding. Gilding is applied around the rims and the caddy and the lid is painted with a simple scroll design, also in green. The caddy has a blue underglazed cross swords mark to the base with an impressed and painted number. A stunning example I’m releasing from my private collection.

Size: 9cm high x 6cm wide
