large french empire chandelier on silver plated frame

An early 20th century Empire-style chandelier of large proportions. The heavy weight silver plated brass frame is heavily decorated with concentric rings of a myriad of Albert drops, prism drops and icicle drops, terminating is a substantial faceted and brass mounted base finial.

The six luminaires eminate on barley twist arms, each carrying a fluted bobeche. The tent, which surrounds a reeded glass mounted central column is formed from 12 graduated strings of 'coffin and button' drops, hanging below an inverted head canopy surrounded by further Albert drops. French, Ca 19106 external luminaires - fitted with new LED filament candle bulbs
Fully restored, rewired and PAT tested.

Some of the coffin drops forming the tent have nibbles commensurate with age.
