LESAGE PARIS (François Lesage who worked between 1850 and 1870, rue Hamelot and 91 rue Truffaut, Paris, and was purveyor of the Emperor Napoleon III ).Structure in Boulle marquetry of red tortoise shell and rich gilt bronze decoration with bronze cherub holding a flame on the top. The dial is comprised of enamel scrolls on gilt bronze background with a bas-relief of Minerva and arabesques. Parisian movement (Vincenti 1855)with a Regency style pendulum in the shape of the head of a Faun. Matching triangular wall shelf.Correct condition, a little damage to the Boulle marquetry (see photos) and the movement needs to be revised.
