Lalique has kindly confirmed that this glass and metal turtle brooch was launched in 2004 and was available in their catalogue until 2005. As designs are limited in number when they go out of production they become increasingly collectable. The 'shell' is brown, slightly opalescent glass, yellowy green as light goes through it, on a gilt-metal mount stamped Lalique. It is in as-new condition. It is quite heavy, so cannot be worn on light-weight clothing. It is 1 7/8 x 1 1/2 inches: 50 x 40 mm overall
