full size 'sir tom jones' billiard table by burroughes & watts

A beautiful and elegant Full Size Billiard Table made by 'Burroughes & Watts' c1900 and with the provenance of being in the ownership of the singer Sir Tom Jones for some years when he lived in St. George's Hill, Weybridge. The table is made in finest quality mahogany and is classically decorated with carvings and swags in the Adam style. It is completely original in construction and benefits from the 'steel vacuum cushions' for which the London makers 'Burroughes & Watts' were world renowned. These tables were and will remain the finest tables in the world on which to play Billiards & Snooker, and being superbly constructed they will continue to give pleasure for many generations to come.
The table has been sympathetically restored in recent years and is complete with a beautiful matching cupboard/scoreboard which stands some 163cm wide x 190cm high but only protrudes 30cm from the wall so is very compact.
The table was located at Sir Tom Jones's home in St. Georges Hill, Weybridge between 1967 - 1974 and is illustrated on the record sleeve of his album 'She's A Lady', with Sir Tom posing alongside the table. The matching cupboard/scoreboard can be seen in the background and will accompany the table if required.
