Fine Pair of Hand Painted and Signed English Porcelain Coalport Limited Edition Lidded Urns of traditional form with lavish gilded twin handles modelled as ram’s heads, complete with original finial covers, early Twentieth Century. One vase depicts a view of Wakefield Cathedral hand painted by Norman Lear, its companion depicts a view of Castle of Mey in Scotland, painted by Malcolm Harnett, on an exquisite gilt surround, on a dark cobalt blue ground, with initials lower right, ending on a square spreading base with similar decoration and canted corners.
