We present this noble and rare Art Nouveau sculpture by Emile Picault (1833-1915) entitled: Honneur Patrie, in patina bronze.
Base 11x11 cm.
Height: 32 cm.
The beautiful square base in peach marble elevates the sculpture: a triumphant warrior with a spear, resting leaning on his shield (which bears the title of the sculpture), his helmet with the shape of a lion's head (which brings out the honor ) is located on the ground next to the right leg.
Attitude is great and proud, noble and strong. The details of the leg muscles, the various parts of the armor, the face and the gaze make us understand the mastery of the sculptor and perfectly convey the honor of the homeland.
