A stunning pair of very early French Paul Dumas, hand printed wallpaper panels. Circa 1910.
Oriental style-possibly Chinoiserie, on a lacquered red background, with beautiful adorned flower vases, fowl, elephants and incense burners.
Paul Dumas was a Parisian designer and produced high end wallpaper and textiles between 1910-1970.
He was also a designer of scenery and draperies for the fancy dress balls held by Paul Poiret.
The Montreuil sur Bois factory produced Wallpaper for Poirets Atelier Martine, Paul Follot, Linda de Andrada and Lucie Renudaut.
Condition of the wallpaper has signs of age which reveal it's authentic charm and also harmonises perfectly with traditional or provincial furnishings giving your living space a charming individuality
