A carved jade oval tablet probably depicting one of the four Dragon Kings. A dragon is seen playing with a ball, the scene incorporates a temple and money and the dragons’ tail is immersed in the sea. In Chinese mythology a Dragon King was a deity who ruled an ocean, they also had power over water and rain. As such Dragon Kings were widely worshipped and religious rites were conducted either to seek or to stop rain.
