He was born on the 5th of November at Beziers (Herault)- where he also died.
He specialised in painting landscapes, landscapes with animals and figurative work.
Labor was a pupil of Glaize and went on to make his debut at the Paris Salon in 1839. Throughout his life he had a strong association with the Museum in his home town (Beziers) and became curator there.
His work is represented in the museums of Beziers (5 named paintings) and in Narbonne (2 paintings) and at Sete.
