Antique Writing Box, veneered in stunning Coromandel with brass reinforced corners for extra strength and durability, has two brass escutcheons and a pair of screw top inkwells.
The interior of this Victorian Writing Box opens to reveal a pen tray, inkwells and blue leather with gold tooling writing surface.
Opening the writing surface near the pentray reveals storage for letters documents and where the secret compartment can be revealed, to open it you remove the the inkwell in the top right hand corner of the box, then press the bottom of the inkwell recess, the sprung cover reveals three secret drawers. The other writing surface when opened also reveals more storage area.
This antique writing box comes with a fully working lock, inkwells and tasselled key.
