A good example of a 'Corniche' carriage clock with strike on a soft gong. The clock retains the original silvered jeweled lever escapement and strikes and the half hours. The white enameled dial is perfect with Roman numerals and the original very fine Breguet type hands. Circa 1890. The case is a 'Satin' gilt and looks bright but 'soft' on the eye.
