Unique Wall Relief by Edith Willumsen made at Bing & Grondahl. I good condition. Measures 28cm x 23.6cm and is in perfect condition. Edith Wilhelmine Willumsen, born Wessel (1 January 1875 in Aalborg - 1 January 1963 in Copenhagen) was a Danish sculptor. In her young years, Willumsen was a porcelain painter at Bing & Grondahl, but traveled to the USA around the turn of the century, where she, among other things, became an artistic advisor to a glass artist in New York City, where she designed and modeled ceramic kilns. Returning to Denmark in 1902, she exhibited her first bronze statues at Charlottenborg's Spring Exhibition. From 1903 to 1928 she was married to sculptor JF Willumsen. Most of Edith Willumsen's works are exhibited at JF Willumsen's Museum. Currently in stock: 1. (SKU number 215258)
