ayres ltd toy horse & cart

A late 19th to early 20th century carved wood toy horse and cart stamped F H Ayres Ltd. The grey dappled horse stands on a red painted platform with four wheels and has its original leather harness and mane. The cart has two open spoke wheels with removable rear panel to tip farm produce when needed. The front part of the cart has the maker's name "F H Ayres Ltd". The horse and cart are in good condition and stand separately, the cart can be chained to the horse. The cart has an extra replaced leather strip to give support at the back of the horse.
