    Bronze with a dark brown patination and lighter brown highlights

    Conceived between 1887 and 1900. This example cast in 1945.
    The Comité Rodin states that at least thirty casts of this model were produced between 1900 and 1968
    The individual figure of Andrieu d’Andres was originally conceived in 1887 and then re-modelled in 1895. This reduced version was conceived in 1900. This example was cast in 1945 by the Alexis Rudier foundry. The Comité Rodin estimates that at least 30 casts of this sculpture were made between 1900 and 1968 by the Perzika, François Rudier, Alexis Rudier and Georges Rudier foundries.
