attractive and most impressive bronze bust

This bronze bust is of French socialite Juliette Recamier, who was born in Lyon in 1777. She was renouned for her beauty
and there are va number of paintings of her even the Louvre. This bronze is after Joseph Chinard who created the original in 1805/ 1806 and dates from around 1900. It is excellent quality and has lovely finish. Note the fine detail in the hair and the excellent finish to the skin. In our showrooms it is sitting on a most impressive brass inlaid stand with a revolving top and brass gallery. This is also available if required but is not included in the price quoted.
There is a considerable amount of information on Juliette Recamier on the internet so making this a most interesting talking point as well as a fabulous looking bust.
