    Antique Antique Silver Plated Coffee Pot c1870

    Presented here is an exceptionally well preserved antiue electroplated nickel-silver coffee pot.
    Incredibly interesting in its style, with outstandingly well undertaken chased acanthus leaf decoration surronding an uninscribed cartouche on eith side elevation.

     
    Only bearing a serial or catalogue number to the base and although I have a good idea who made the piece, I had better not say.
    However, I have little doubt in dating the piece to c1870s when the fondess of all things Oriental began to blossom, with a litte help form a famous Victorian designer. To whom this piece is not directly attributed.
    The natural form and style of chased decoration combined with a few angles make this piece rather distinctive of the period!
     
    The lack of makers' markings help dated this piece to before 1878, along with the natural material inserts fitted to the handle.
     
    Presented in fine - very fine condition, with no detrimental issues.
