    A superb quality rosewood veneered box of gently tapering formstanding on a rosewood base and rosewood square feet. The top of agentle pyramid shape is made from one shaped piece of rosewood. Thebrass inlaid ornament is well defined and complements the form ofthe box. The interior is luxuriously lined and fitted.
    It is lined in pink silk and is fitted with both silvertopped small bottles and ivory spools of outstanding quality.
    The spools which are of ivory with screw on shafts, are very deeply carved on both the bottom and top parts. They are in the form of stylized chrysanthemums.
    It is not surprising that the box bears a large and a small label of, D. Edwards, one of the foremost early nineteenth century makers, whose clientele included the King and other members of the Royal family.
