Antique Banquet Kerosene lamp dating to the mid 1890's. In some places it can be seen that the copper has been slightly worn off, either by good usage or overzealous polishing. In this case it seems the other latter reason since the worn off regions are very little. Clay has been used to fixate the glass midsection to the copper base ring which shows its antique nature. This lamp has a beautiful glass blown Kerosene tank, with a marble(onyx) pillar. The base is made of solid cast copper, a very rare sight indeed. It also comprises a chimney and a stunning amber glass ball fitter, also, the wick burner is fully functional.
