    A fine Paris NÉCESSAIRE DE VOYAGE tightly packedwith tools and accessories for personal grooming.

     
    The burr elm box is edgedwith brass and has inset brass carrying handles. The gildedsilver toped cut crystal bottles and jars have the Paris silver mark for 1818-1838. The tools are a delight of mother of pearl and steel.
     
    The brush has a leatherconfining surround to keep the bristels in place. This form I have seenin boxes marked with with the name of Aucoc Ainéin made in the 1840's
     
    Aucoc Ainéin was one of the most celebrated Palais Royal Maître tabletiers.
