  OUR STORY....
  Highway Pickers started out as an old abandoned building. After doing some traveling, the inspiration for Highway Pickers was born. With a lot of hard work, this building was transformed into a spacious 3 floor antique mall. Highway Pickers opened it's doors June 2013!
  But this is not where the story ends. During this time, the owner's daughter, Crystal (Keller) Adcock and her husband Christopher Adcock were stationed in Tampa, Florida at MacDill Air Force Base. Crystal and Chris were high school sweethearts and newly weds. Christopher served 8 years as an active duty military soldier, as Crystal furthered her education and became a dental hygienist.
  In 2015 they were able to return home to Alabama! Even though they both had great careers in their trained fields, they were looking for new and different opportunities. After visiting her dad's place, Highway Pickers, the young couple quickly felt they had found what they were searching for. They decided to invest their money earned from their previous careers into purchasing and running Highway Pickers!! They took over ownership January 1st 2016!
  So what started out as one man's dream and inpsiration has now turned into a family business and a continued dream!

  With a shared passion for antiques we opened the Kibworth Antiques Centre on the A6 near Kibworth, Leicestershire on 6th October 2012. When we first visited the former BMW showroom in the spring of 2012 we knew immediately that it would make a fantastic space for an antiques centre and by the September we had collected the keys and our work started. We opened without a single dealer signed up and as we began to get it all together we knew within a couple of weeks that we had made the right decision. There hadn’t been an antiques centre in the area for several years and as dealers began to hear about our plans they were keen to join us. Quite early on it became apparent that more space would be needed, as the waiting list of dealers was growing steadily.In the spring of 2013, with so much increased demand, we made the decision to open up and fill the adjoining building behind the main centre. This building had formerly been used by BMW as a workshop, complete with inspection pit and grease! After many very late nights cleaning and scrubbing we were ready to install a mezzanine floor which would allow us to create even more space, and open the doors to the public. Our customers come from as far afield as Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, the East and West Midlands and Cambridgeshire, and even Harrogate and Leeds.
  Our Passion
  Our dealers’ finds cover a huge spectrum of one-off and unique items, which in most cases you wouldn’t find on the high street and which we think is one of the reasons why we have so many regular customers. In their words ‘there is always something to tempt you’. Since our nervous beginnings in 2013 we have been thrilled with how well Kibworth Antiques Centre has been received. Our dealer family has grown to in excess of 60 spread over 10,000 square feet and with a grown waiting list. Kibworth Antiques Centre has become a real ‘go to’ place for the unusual, the special and the ‘sought after’ antiques and curios.
