A decorative William IV rosewood tea poy, dating from the early 19th century.
The rectangular hinged top opens to reveal the interior compartment, with a brass key escutcheon to the front. The shaped body displays attractive rosewood figuring and is decorated with applied pierced scrolling ornament, a shaped apron and carved corner brackets.
Raised on a turned and faceted pedestal with carved lotus decoration, terminating in a shaped platform base with four scrolling feet and castors.
A distinctive and elegant piece of William IV furniture, suitable for use as a decorative side table or occasional table.
