This striking Georgian mourning ring is a fine example of early 19th-century sentimentality. The marquise-shaped design features a delicate surround of natural seed pearls, symbolising purity and remembrance. Beneath the domed crystal lies an intricately woven lock of hair, accompanied by a central panel adorned with a fine script monogram, all set against a dark enamel backdrop. Crafted in warm rose gold, with elegant engraved shoulders, this piece beautifully captures the era’s tradition of memorial jewellery, preserving a timeless connection to a loved one.
This ring, circa the Georgian era (1800-1830), is in fair and wearable condition. Some pearls behind the panel are no longer in their original setting position.
Please note that due to this ring’s setting, this ring is excluded from our Complimentary Resizing Service.
