    Exceptional original ceramic vase by Gorka Lívia (1925–2011), Hungary – circa 1956.

     
    High-quality wheel-thrown ceramic with rich green base glaze and finely executed yellow and white sgraffito and slip decoration (írókázott technique), featuring elegant bird motifs. This refined decorative technique is characteristic of Gorka Lívia’s mature artistic period.
     
    The vase displays excellent craftsmanship, balanced proportions, and strong artistic presence, making it a highly desirable piece for collectors of Central European modern ceramics and studio pottery.
     
    Signature / Mark:
    “GL” monogram on the underside, engraved in cursive into the clay body and highlighted in turquoise (see photos), confirming authenticity.

    Dimensions: Height: 29 cm
     
    Condition:
    Very good vintage condition. One small, professionally restored area on the base rim, consistent with age and carefully stabilized (see photos). No impact on display or structural integrity.
