Magnificent and impressive pair of two-light gilded wood wall sconces in the Louis XVI style, 19th century.Lushly carved decor on a musical theme, with numerous instruments: violin, guitar, flute, clarinet, tambourine, bells, triangle and a score to complete the ensemble. The elements are interlaced with oak and acanthus leaves, each sconce topped by a ribbon bow, typical of the Louis XVI style.Two finely decorated arms branch off from the center and terminate in elegant bobèches decorated with water leaves.This highly decorative pair, each 104 cm high, is executed with great finesse and has a superb finish with a bright golden patina.This pair of sconces can be placed around a double doorway to a formal salon, but can also be used to frame a large mirror, or above a fine chest of drawers or a large mantelpiece.This pair can be electrified on request, at an additional cost of 400 euros.
