This exquisite Georgian mourning ring, dated 1810, features a unique parallelogram-shaped head, adding a striking geometric elegance to its design. At its centre lies a glazed compartment holding a lock of hair, framed by intricate black and white enamel and surrounded by a halo of luminous seed pearls. The entire gold band is richly carved with delicate patterns, showcasing exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. Inscribed on the reverse with "John Beeching ob. 6 Oct. 1810 Æt. 41," this ring is both a touching memorial and a remarkable example of early 19th-century mourning jewellery.
This ring is in good condition, with light wear commensurate with age.
