This outstanding antique ring, circa the 1920s by independent assessment, features a dazzling large diamond at the centre, cut in an old mine cushion shape and weighing approximately 1.66ct. It has a romantic and vintage feel that perfectly complements the Art Deco aesthetic. The diamond is set in a simple yet elegant raised claw setting, which allows its beauty to take centre stage.
There are ten smaller old eight-cut diamonds which sit in deep settings on both shoulders, for an approximate total of 0.12ct.
This ring is stamped PLAT. There is some abrasion to the edge of the table of the diamond, but all stones remain well-held, it is in good condition for a ring of around 100 years in age.
Please note: Inclusions are made more visible by our high-contrast photography, and they are less visible to the human eye. A colour and clarity grading has been performed by independent experts at Safeguard, part of the Assay Office of Birmingham.
Please find the SafeGuard report, (see the end image in the gallery) for more detailed information.
