A beautiful pastel drawing of a canal and bridge with footpath at Foxton in Leicestershire.
Foxton has long been a popular tourist attraction, well known for the long run of locks which climb a steep rise, one after the other, making it a good challenge for barges that still pass regularly.
This fine example is signed in the lower right bottom corner by the artist K.Brooks, who was herself for many years a local villager.
Remounted in the past with double card border, being a pale green and cream colour,
presented in a thin gilt wooden frame.
