french 19th century louis xiv style mirror

A wonderful antique French Louis XIV style over-mantle crested mirror dating from the late 19th Century.

This wood and gesso crested mirror is in outstanding condition considering its age. The crest features an abundance of scrolls, flowers and leaves; scrolls decorate the outer frame and small flowers decorate the inner frame. The parquet back-boards are in fine condition holding the mirror firmly in place. The silver mirror plate is original, with a few very minor marks.
