A fantastic convex wall mirror dating from the early 19th Century. It has a gilded frame with applied ball decoration, a carved eagle on the top and carved leaf decoration below the mirror. The quality is superb and the detail in the carving is excellent. It is in good condition and the gilding has remained bright and vibrant. There are some signs of age and some small chips and minor losses as would be expected for the age of the item. There has been some overpainting and there is an old repair to the reverse of the eagle, but it remains strong, sturdy and displays well. It has been lightly cleaned and is ready to hang. Diameter of the mirror is 28cm.
