Regency Marble Top Table
This is an early 19th Century carved and gilded wood occasional table with an inlaid specimen marble top. The top is inset with numerous radiating panels of specimen marbles within a broad semi circle marble banding. Around the marble is rope edged design. The table has a reeded stem which is adorned with acanthus design and is raised on a scrolling tripod base decorated with carved / gilded lions to the top terminating in scrolled feet which again are adorned with acanthus leaves. The specimen marble top has typical signs of wear, but these tables are becoming more difficult to find and are truly lovely addition to either a contemporary or modern setting. Please refer to the pictures to appreciate the detail of this wonderful regency table and the quality of the specimen marble top. The table is in good condition, a full condition report is available on request.
