This is a pair of antique side chairs. A superb quality French, painted solid walnut hall or occasional seat, dating to the mid Victorian period, circa 1850.

• Appealing, solid antique chairs with fascinating details

• Elaborate seat backs, profuse with relief carved details
• Arched top rail terminates in scrolled 'ears' and adorned with acanthus leaf and feather detail
• Cushions with green velour upholstery sit upon a tiered apron
• Raised upon front cabriole legs with pad feet, decorated to the knee - gently splayed rear legs
