Oscar Heymann sapphire and diamond ring

The firm of Oscar Heymann is one of the finest American jewellery manufacturers, always producing jewellery of the highest quality. This ring is in the style of the 1940s, but may have been made later. It is set with beautiful blue calibré-cut sapphires, and beautiful white brilliant-cut diamonds, in a stepped and fluted wide shank, tapering towards the back, that reminds me of knight''s helmet visor.
The ring is UK size M- US 6 1/4 and could be moderatly sized. The depth at the front of the ring is 15mm
