A neat sized one-piece aesthetic movement oak pedestal desk, with tooled and gilded green leather insert, canted corners, tea caddy moulded edge with a Brass presentation plaque screwed to the top; ‘special subscription race, Hawick common riding 1901, won by J Ed Murray on Mango’, the frieze with one long drawer with reeding top and bottom, flanked by a bank of four graduating drawers with similar handle and similar reeding. The sides and back with polished panels, with further reeding and chamfered corners. All resting on eight tapering toes.

Georgian Antiques was founded in 1978 by John Dixon's brother Padriac in a small shop at Jocks Lodge, Meadowbank in Edinburgh, with John joining the business after finishing college in 1981. The business grew so rapidly, they couldn't keep up with their inventory needs. Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh. With 50,000sq ft over five floors we offer a wide range of quality Georgian, Victorian and Edwardian furniture, as well as continental and small decorative items. Our stock is constantly changing.
