Circa 1880. Victorian brass and mahogany reading table with trade label beneath ‘Carters Patent, 55 Moreton Street, London’. The top with a mahogany slide with small rest to the bottom and two brass arms for keeping the book in position, this is attached to an articulated brass upright with a ball and socket joint to the back, adjustable arm and telescopic upright. The center stem issuing three shaped arms which continue down and form the feet. Table is clean, adjustable and functioning.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
