continental paper and inlaid bone fan

Circa 1880, unusual continental paper and bone fan, highly decorated and framed. The fan has a painted centre panel with women playing musical instruments, wearing period dresses with a castle in the background and the woods each side. Either side of this is foliate carving with mythical figures and a classic Rococo background.

Scotland's largest antiques warehouse is located in a converted whiskey bond in historic Leith Edinburgh.
