antique regency rosewood sofa table

Circa 1815, Regency rosewood sofa table. The rectangular top with variegated rosewood veneers, D-shaped leaves and over a set of dummy drawers to the back and full-size drawers to the front, with turned knob handles and gilding. The elegant stem is turned, tapering and fluted, over a well carved collar and all on a large, concave platform base with scrolling and foliate carving to the front and further gilding. Finishing on 4 brass castors.
