A marvelous Original 19th Century Oil On canvas painting executed by 'S J B Keany' & Dated 1898The work depicts a marvelous Sporting Game Still life Scene with a Pheasant lying within a woodland landscape setting, probably shot down by a Game hunter.The attention to detail is absolutely outstanding and this example by Keany is surely one of he's finest periods when he was prolifically painting this particular subject matter.This painting was acquired from a private collector together with one other Keany Still life sporting game Oil painting.
(Please See our other listing's for more info) Both examples are dated 1898 and both examples are 100% original & signed by the artist to the lower right corner.Mounted within the Original Victorian gilt moulded frame, the painting is in superb original condition and does not appear to have ever been removed from the original frame.The Period frame has a few minute areas of gesso loss to the leading edges but certainly nothing to detract and mentioned more so for accuracy.The asking price includes our 'Free' UK mainland fully insured delivery service
