...........................................................................Description:LARGE BEAUTIFUL EARLY 19thc OIL PORTRAIT PAINTING OF A PRETTY SOCIETY LADYA wonderful original early 19th Century Oil Portrait painting depicting a very pretty female Society lady in a half length portrait pose wearing a very expensive diamond ring & holding a leather bound book in one hand.Circa 1835-1840Oil Painting on Re-lined canvasMounted within the Original period gilt moulded frame. The work appears to have been relined during the 1930's and there is a very old Restorers label attached verso which dates the professional re-lining to that period (1934)Offered in overall very good condition commensurate with age with some delightful areas of paint craqueleur
