...........................................................................Description:IMPECCABLE GEORGE III FIGURED MAHOGANY OPEN BANQUETING WINE COOLER CELLARETTE
A truly outstanding original period piece dating to the George III period - Circa 1810-1820Of Hexagonal form, the fabulous figured mahogany caucus is of a beautiful rich colouration & patina and feels silky smooth to the touch (A sign of quality)The piece has a twin lipped our edge which flanks above the generous sized open interior which retains the wonderful original fully lined leaded interior for chilling those many bottles of wine.Surrounding the fabulous figured mahogany main body is a pair of large quality solid brass straps, complimented at either end by a huge solid brass lions figurehead which is incorporated by a heavy solid brass pull ring carrying handle.The whole is raised upon four sturdy square legs with decorative pierce carved aprons. The piece is virtually exhibition quality in terms of the way it has been previously cared for so we can best describe the condition of the piece as immaculate at the very least.
