Antique Walnut Arts & Crafts Davenport Desk dating from the late 19thC (late Victorian). The very highest quality of design and construction - several distinctive features such as the chevron style panelling to the front and rear and the carvings to the sides. Four working drawers to the right hand side with keys and "central locking mechanism" (full working order). Four dummy drawers to the left hand side. All drawers have twin brass Arts & Crafts style handles. Lift up writing slope reveals lined interior with spring loaded catch to release the top to the fully fitted stationery compartment on the top of the desk. Working lock and key to the writing slope. The slope has a tooled tan leather writing surface. Concealed brass castors to the base of the desk for ease of movement. A truly excellent desk
