Christmas is nearly here and you may be one of those people that’s more than prepared for the festive holiday, or one of those that leaves it till the last minute. Some are really good at getting the food, the wine, the presents, all well in advance of the Christmas holiday. The rest of us, however, and I must confess, I’m one of them, leave everything till the last minute, and rush around the shops trying to get everything done a few days before.
Time to relax – or is it?
At least once it’s done, you’ll be able to put your feet up and relax. Not all of us will have the Christmas holidays to relax however, we’ll either be working up until and just after the holiday period, or right over the Christmas holiday. Some organisations, such as the emergency services, nurses, doctors, will all be working over Christmas and it’s at this time of year, that we are truly thankful that we can rely on them, should we have an emergency of our own over the Christmas vacation.

Check us out for some last minute gifts!
If you haven’t got all your pressies yet and you’re still looking for something special for a particular family member, then do look through our pages on www.antiques.co.uk. Our blogs this month feature some of the interior design trends for 2016 and some last minute Christmas present ideas, with an emphasis on myths and fairy tales for items we take for granted. It may put you in the right mood for Christmas and give you a light bulb moment, a sudden bit of inspiration you can put to good use.

See what’s new on our home page!
As you can imagine, items are constantly changing on our home page, as we receive hundreds of new antique items each week. At the moment there’s a rather sweet 19th century jelly mould a great collector’s item. There’s a lovely set of 6 Regency dining chairs and a gorgeous Rosewood tea caddy circa 1840. Maybe you fancy the 19th century hand carved green hard stone dog of foo?
Yes it does sound rather unusual, but it might be your bag.

If the items we’ve have already sold, then always keep checking and save your search with our email alert facility on our home page for new items, or check the side menu for all the different sections of antiques, from toys to nautical items.

That’s it from www.antiques.co.uk, we wish you a merry Christmas and a happy New Year and we’ll see you in the New Year. Here’s to 2016!
