    October Newsletter
It’s October once more. And this is the best time of year for snuggling up on the sofa with a mug of hot chocolate while watching the rain beat down outside, while you’re warm and comfortable on the inside. There’ll be Halloween to look forward to soon, and then there’s Guy Fawkes Night and Christmas after that.

Specialist and vintage cars are this month’s topic
This month our blogs are going to be looking at vintage and specialist cars. What should you be looking out for and what is a specialist car anyway? This will be a beginner’s look at this fascinating way of collecting cars, so keep an eye out for that.
Plenty of cars to see on www.antiques.co.uk
For the foremost authority and leading antiques directory, www.antiques.co.uk are as usual, leading the way in showing some of the best antiques in the UK. As this month’s theme is specialist cars, please take note of the magnificent 1959 Ferrari 250 GT pf cabriolet series, it’s in excellent condition. Also featured is the 2003-03 Bentley Arnage R in mason’s black, again in beautiful condition. You’ll find your most famous antiques directory has many, many more like it, from Ferraris to Bentleys, and from Bentleys to Jaguars and Porsches.

Find yourself a car and get in touch.
If you are an expert car specialist or simply a beginner, just take a look around www.antiques.co.uk and you’re bound to find some of the most breathtakingly beautiful cars available. All come with clear pictures, contact details and some really detailed descriptions, so you know a little more about the car, it’s history and who you need to contact to find out more.

Do you drive your specialist car or do you keep it in the garage?
A specialist sports car is enough to make you feel young at heart and what better way of finding your way around the rainy streets of Britain than in a vintage car? Perhaps you prefer to take good care of them in a specially fitted garage, so you don’t have to run the risk of potentially damaging it – and that’s okay too. After all, such beautiful cars really do deserve all the time and attention you give them.

Other than that, you’ll see that on our home page this month we have yet more beautiful items. As the colder weather approaches along with the longer nights, Georgian Copper Ale Jugs, and a brass ash tray offer winter comfort for the living room, while the Japanese Tanto Carved Scabbard and 9ct Gold Sapphire Diamond ring present some unusual and original gift ideas. So there you have it, let’s try to enjoy October and all it brings – shorter days, rainy nights and hot drinks. It’s not that bad really, after all spring isn’t really that far away.

    Until next time.

The first collective presentation of large-scale Mexican sculpture is being held in London’s public spaces, Contemporary Mexican Sculpture: The Vision of Four Artists provides the opportunity to see recent works in stone, bronze and resin by Yvonne Domenge,
    José Rivelino
    , Paloma Torres and
    Jorge Yazpik
, who together represent Mexico’s best-known sculptors spanning many decades. Between July and December 2015, each artist is showing a monumental work in one of four prominent public sites: Charles I Bay in Trafalgar Square, Grosvenor Gardens, l and Canary Wharf.

Iain Brunt writes: ‘Few cities have placed such strong emphasis on public sculpture as London. The British capital is a world-wide benchmark in all variants of this discipline, ranging from historical sculptures to the most avant-garde pieces. Today London’s streets, squares and gardens continuously offer an open display where Londoners and visitors alike can become acquainted with the sculptural artwork of leading artists world-wide. This project is an opportunity for Mexico to join the dynamic English flair for holding world-class exhibitions in public spaces and to position itself as a country whose artists are on a par with the world’s best.’
